Zeta Psi
The Sigma Chi Fraternity
Zeta Psi Chapter – University of Cincinnati
VISION: Developing leaders through change and innovation while ever striving to be excellent in all we do.
MISSION: Win the J. Dwight Peterson Award and the UC Chapter of the Year Award
Strategic Plan to Complete our Vision and Mission
Documentation for Awards:
· Elect someone to the position of Peterson Chair immediately to have one person in place throughout the entire year to organize all documents and collect details on each programmed event.
· Have the Annotator take attendance at each programmed event.
· Give appropriate awards sheets to the corresponding officers.
Recruitment:
· Have attendance taken at all events and mandatory to attend 4 of 5 rush events, no excuse for absences and have repercussions for those who miss without excuse.
· Have a 100% retention rate not including those whom we choose to defer.
Academics:
· Consistently have the house GPA over 3.0.
· Have a new scholarship policy in place for brothers on academic suspension that will not deter them from the house but have them do something for the house (community service, sober Sig at a party, landscaping, etc.)
· Set a “competitive” goal for the actives to have higher GPA than fall pledge class.
Philanthropy:
· Raise $10,000 during the entire year for the Huntsman Cancer Institute
· Hold 2 programmed philanthropy events each quarter.
· Raise $5,000 for Derby Days
· Place in the top 3 in Greek Week – Make a Wish Foundation
Campus Involvement:
· Begin a mentoring program with the pledges to find interests they have in student groups and pair them up with appropriate brother.
· Homecoming: Put up a respectable float for the parade with KKG. Impress campus officials and community with the float.
Alumni Relations:
· Hold two events with the alumni each quarter ranging from recruitment events to community service events to golf outings.
· Put together a great Brotherhood Day for our UC Anniversary at our house.
· Improve relations by having at least five brothers attend the Alumni Luncheons each month.
