2008-09 Chapter Strategic Plan
10:00 am – Agenda, Expectations and Goals
10:15 am – Leadership and Learning Style exercise
10:30 am – Leadership qualities auction (each team gets 3000 points) Break into groups of 8 and teams of 2 people Come together and recap on what happened
10:50 am – Assessment of the chapter exercise Break into groups again of same 8 (score in groups and score in large group talking about why people feel that way)
11:30 am – How are we going to move forward? Brainstorm goals Create into Action Have a system of measurability
12:15 pm – Break for Lunch
1:30 pm – SWOT analysis building
1:45 pm – Create a chapter vision
2:00 pm – Define our areas of focus
2:15 pm – Action Plan
2:30 pm – In teams – Ranking of most important officer traits
3:00 pm – Officers will in turn read their goals and expectations for the year ( Q and A with the chapter) Inform chapter of changes being made this year to judicial issues
3:15 pm – Reading of a life that matters
Vision: To continue building our chapter house and our membership living by our ideals and striving to be the top fraternity on campus.

2007-08 Chapter Strategic Plan
When: September 13th - 14th
Where: Fort Flagler State Park
Why: To create chapter wide and personal vision for the upcoming school year.
Retreat Schedule:
Thursday, Sept. 13th:
1:30 - Arrive at the State Park, get checked in and eat lunch
2:30 - Opening ceremonies
> Introduce theme of "Above and Beyond"
> Show Braveheart clip and tie into theme
> Divide the brothers into their respect teams for Sigfest: UpiUpi Edition
3:00 - Begin Sigfest: Upi Upi Edition
> Home-run Derby
> Tug-of-war
> Football Tournament
5:30 - Dinner
6:30 - Team Building activity
> Two groups are sent off with instructions to find materials to build a flag
> Once materials are found, the flag is assembled and groups return to base
8:00 - Head out to the Fort to play Capture-the-Flag with the newly made flags
9:30 - Campfire with Smores, Stories, Time to relax and bond
11:00 - Bedtime
Friday, Sept. 14th:
8:30 - Wake up and eat breakfast
9:00 - Meet up with groups from the previous day and have discussion:
> What is your Sigma Chi passion?
> What is one way you can improve that aspect of the chapter for yourself and others?
> Discuss the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) of the Chapter
10:00 - Reconvene for chapter discussion regards what the small groups discussion
> Discuss SWOT with the large group
> Discuss a Theme for the upcoming year with areas of focus
11:30 - Eat lunch and clean up facilities
12:30 - Head home
Upsilon Upsilon 2007-2008 Slogan: "Here and Now...": Taking advantage of the opportunities we have as college men and members of Sigma Chi to better ourselves and the communities in which we are a part of.
Consul Comments: We had a great time at the retreat and had over 80% attendance from the chapter. We all came away from the retreat as a more united and cohesive group of men with a similar vision for where we all want the chapter to head. It was a time for bonding, a time for competetion, a time for remembering what it means to be a Sigma Chi, and a time of growth. Here and Now...
