Vision Quest 9/16/2007

Vision: To be the best that we can be while living the ideals of the White Cross everyday, to win a Peterson, Poly Gold, and Iron Man, and to promote brotherhood and the general welfare of our chapter, starting with every individual officer.

Individual Goals:

Henry Castellanos - Consul
1. Increase brotherhood
2. Increase attendance at meetings as well as general efficiency of meetings
3. RMF
  • Make sure that all risk issues are attended to, keeping risk management at the forefront
4. Ritual
  • Great I-Week and Chapter Meetings
5. General oversight of all chapter affairs

Jon Jamison - Pro Consul
1. PIT; more formal, guest speakers
2. New structure for dues, financials
3. New positions, get more people involved, like parents day chair
4. Eboard on time, J-board, eboard more structured
5. Send chapter bylaws to HQ by October 15!

Elias Aguayo - Quaestor
Goals:
1. AR’s low, help each other out
Discussion:
Immediate Problems
i) AR’s
ii) House Endowment payments
iii) New budget, policy, bylaws to present to chapter

Kenny Klingaman - Annotator
1. Assisting at Catholic School
2. Salvation Army philanthropies
3. Post notes about chapter meetings, make notes for Henry during meeting
4. Food to bring people to philanthropies
5. Be more event orientated
6. Matt Myers walk

Rob Oakleaf – Fall Magister
1. Danny’s Packet from last pledge class used as reference for new packet
2. Grades, library study hours emphasized
3. Giving pledges bylaws
4. Themed pledge meetings – team building exercises
5. Office hours mandatory 6. 40 active interviews

Eric Drach – Risk Manager
Goals:
1. 1 workshop per quarter
2. Prevent people from drinking too much
3. Get someone from Pomona PD to come and talk to us
Discussion:
i) Letting in underage people/ id system
ii) RMF committee
iii) Scholarships!
iv) Workshops with pledges
v) Planning pinning night
vi) Safety of the house at parties, theft, too many people on balcony etc…

Greg Andrade – House Manager
Goals:
1. Get a separate account for the house
2. House safety
3. House Chores
4. Cut trees in back
5. Lines in back parking lot
6. Someone to inspect porch and balcony House Clean up Sept 29th SAT, 10AM
Discussion: i) House Endowment money spending
ii) House choirs
iii) Holding people who damage responsible / Elias
iv) Safety of the house

Scott Deano – Social Chairman
Goals:
1. Exchange two times a quarter
2. JMC committee
3. Goal for year 1100 fundraising
4. Add alpha Phi on the website

When we don’t hire security, we should have a guest list

Wyatt Martin – Scholarship Chairman
1. Class schedule database
2. Collecting grades every quarter

George Serrano – Recruitment Chairman
Goals:
1. Shooting for mid 20’s as far as pledges, fall and spring
2. More participation
EVENTS START AT 7PM Mon- poker, mon night fb Tues- gladiator Wed- bowling Thurs- alumni Fri- BBQ

i) Rush workshop

Chris Tillisch - Tribune
1. Recognize anniversary, Nov 16th
2. Winter poker Tourney, ½ money toward prizes, other half to rush
3. Spring golf tourney, football tourney

Jeff Hammond – Chapter Editor
1. Quarterly news letter
2. photos for magazine
3. Semi Awards

Matt Jaroslawski – Historian
Get someone to help document things, make a committee
1. Post pictures on website
2. Or to alumni
3. Rush slideshow, movie
4. Restore library, and School book library
5. Be at as many events as possible

Saul Vazakas – Public Relations Chairman
Establish good relations, internal, external; school involvement; IFC, ASI involvement
1. Get involved with things
2. Involved on campus
3. Derby days, sig scorts
4. bbq for teachers, Parents day
5. Make sign-up sheets for meeting
6. Flowers for sorority girls, birthdays
7. Cards for sororities, for frank week!
8. Card for Greg’s Parents

Kenny Klingaman/Sean Prenovost – Derby Daddies
Derby Days- 4th week of winter quarter
1. Fundraise before hand
2. Over $5000 3. Involve all sororities
