2007-08 Chapter Strategic Plan
Enforce Risk Management—this is done by our consul and risk manager with the rest of the chapter following the guidelines. We need to start now and by the end of the year, be complainant with risk management guidelines
Get guys more involved in the house/on campus—this will be done through our pro consul and the staars program. Hopefully by the end of the semester we will be able to see results as prizes will be given out. Utilize officers and committees-sounds silly yes, but important. If every officer does everything that is required of them as outlined in our bylaws and then steps it up and does better than the officer last year, we will have a very productive committee. Also, if we utilize the bylaws committee, LRPC, exec, chapter, JBoard, our chapter will strive forward. Hope to see a change by the end of the semester. Have everyone pay their dues before the end of the year. This will be reinforced by our quaestor. If you are not paid off by the end of the year or are not on a payment plan, Form 50’s may make an appearance. Our chapter has to have cash inflows in order to operate, not just cash outflows. Continue to improve our pledge program. This will obviously be done mainly by the magister, but by the whole chapter as well. Borland has some great new ideas to implement which will enrich it. But we as an active chapter need to support it. Make sure you volunteer for brotherhoods and then show up for them. Recruit guys year round. This is obviously the recruitment chairman but also the rest of the chapter. We didn’t get as many guys as we planned, which is ok, but we need to continue to recruit. Talk to guys on campus you know and get them psyched about our house. We need more alumni involvement as well. Tribune and assistant tribune are in charge of this. Talked about having a full regalia chapter once every four weeks. Also, maybe grilling out before chapter in the fall/spring to get more alumni to attend chapter. Also, at least one alumni event per semester. Since there are two of you on this, the chapter expects a lot from you guys! Our grades need a lot of attention. With our scholarship chair and his ambitious goals, we should be fine. Main goal here is to have no one below a 2.5 which shouldn’t be too hard. Remember that Big Sexy has set up study tables and test files so make sure to utilize those to the fullest extent. Let’s keep our house looking great. House man may be in charge of this, but it boils down to the whole chapter. It was amazingly clean during recruitment so lets try to keep it that way. Pick up after yourself, take out trash on your scheduled weeks, come to clean ups, don’t trash the house on the weekends. We have a huge potential this year to better our house image so let’s do it. The PR chair is working hard so far to get events for us, so when he does get events, sign up and go to them. Get our name out there so that we have a better campus image. Fundraising could also be huge this year. Our goal is to raise $2,000 this semester and we are well on our way with $500. We decided that we needed 3 things: 1.) Chairs 2.) IM Shirts 3.) Tables
