Eta Iota
Strategic Plan 2008-2009

Vision:

The vision for the Eta Iota Chapter at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University is to improve recruitment by advancing our brotherhood involvement and campus image; to create value-based leaders who are aligned with the ritual and purposes of Sigma Chi.

Areas of Strategic Focus & Goals

Recruitment
- Rush 365 by hosting one rush event every month after rush week
- Redistributing rush budget to last entire semester; 70% for rush week/30% for rush 365
- Give out a $500 scholarship to a Freshman for Spring Semester
- Don’t let potentials walk away without getting a phone number
- Strive to achieve 80% retention by bidding to initiate

Campus Image
- Host one social/philanthropy event with another Fraternity and/or non-greek organization
- Raise $4,000 during Derby Days
- Sorority Appreciation Week
- Improve the Chapter's Scholarship Program to maintain a Cumulative GPA above the all men's average
- Have all brothers join and be active in 1 additional club/organization by September 19, 2008
- Actively be more approachable and courteous to students and staff on campus
- Host event with local charitable organization

Brotherhood Involvement
- Create various committees for brothers without grades to have active participation in Chapter
- Redesign PIT program to increase brother enthusiasm
- Build stronger brother support for Horizons, BLTW, and Province Workshop
- Win a Peterson; by meeting all calendar due dates and multiple revisions.
- Establish a Alumni bi-monthly newsletter
- Revise and rewrite by-laws to reflect chapter state currently; strictly abide by the by-laws

Risk Management
- Follow all FIPG and Risk Management Foundation (RMF) guidelines to insure safe social events
- Consult both Chapter Advisor and University before hosted social events
- Use RMF Social planner
