SMART GOAL
In the Fall 2008 Semester, The Beta Colony of Sigma Chi was heavily focused on recruiting men who would further our chapter in the future. We looked at recruiting these men in order to facilitate our Instalment as the Beta Xi Chapter. In order to impliment these main goals we set up a recruitment schedule that would surely be fitting and expansive to those gentlemen who seek to be involved in a fraternity. The entire chapter will do its best efforts to make every event of the recruitment week and to meet as many possible new members as they can. This will ensure that there is a good sense of belonging on both the brothers, and brothers-to-be side. We want to succesfully recruit and retain fifteen new members. There will be events put in place during the week of IFC rush at various locations at, and around campus. These goals will be measurable with a chapter vote. We will be voting on the new recruits during the semester to ensure that all men recruited are staying with all aspects in which Sigma Chi was founded upon. A budget was set for the recruitment process, and a plan inacted that ensure we had maximum attendance at our events. Through contacts and gracious alumni, many of our items used for Recruitment week were donated, which made us able to set a budget for recruitment to be around $900. With a goal of recruiting 15 of the best men that the University of New Mexico has to offer, this goal seems very realistic. We believe that we will be able to recruit and more importantly retain 15 members as well. Due to the tight amount of time that is presented in recruitment and submitting the final paperwork for phase reports we will be on a short timeline for accepting these gentlemen as new recruits into our fraternity. |
