to recruit and maintain men of high ideals and utilize the lofty ambitions of our value based fraternity for the betterment and success of the men of Beta Omicron.
Goal 1: Retain 80% of initiates for the remaining duration in house as required by the by-laws.
Goal 1a: Reduce the drop out rate to less than 10% of initiates.

Action Steps:
1. Post by-laws regarding academics around house. Have discussion of them at first chapter meeting.

2. Distribute by-laws to pledges and have discussion of them at first pledge meeting. Create set of rules for pledges conducive to academics and distribute and post them. Get test schedules from pledges and create a pledgeship schedule around it.

When – Sept. 12
3. Schedule at least two academic speakers come and talk to the entire chapter, one towards the first few weeks, one before finals week. Post and make available material from the Academic Success Center. Print off and post study tips and inspirational material before and during Midterm and Finals week. Encourage older brothers to tutor others in classes they excelled in, offer them various rewards such as no cleaning sessions required of them.

4. Hold personal meetings with brothers and pledges who received midterm grades below a C. Explain by-law requirements of them

Goal 1b: Make Beta Omicron a place where brothers want to live and be involved.

1. Hold a chapter retreat to discuss unity, concerns, and expectations that each brother has of the leadership positions and each other.

2. Set up at least 1 brotherhood event a week, and at least 2 non-alcohol related brotherhoods a month.

3. Set-up a Magister committee that encourages the less involved brothers to get involved in pledgeship, setting up ceremonies, and helping the pledges with there problems.

4. Review budget and work to make cuts to reduce house bills. Work with house managers to find ways to decrease energy and water bills.

Goal 2: Improve officer accountability.

Action Steps:
1. Post and distribute by-laws regarding positions to all members. Remind officers of their responsibility both in by-laws and in ritual.

2. Hold an executive committee retreat to discuss the goals and aspirations of all officers, as well as concerns and what is expected of them. Ensure all transitions have been finished by this time.

3. Have all officers meet regularly with Pro Consul to discuss progress towards goals. Hold officers accountable to goals discussed by chapter and executive committee.

Goal 3: Improve on recruitment for the Spring semester.

Action Steps:
1. Get list of held over contacts from summer recruitment chairs. Call everyone on the list and determine their level of interest.

2. Utilize out-of-house pledges to find new contacts in residential halls. Set-up weekly recruitment events to go out and meet new freshmen. Involve entire chapter in these events.

3. Hold recruitment barbeques and dinner at least once a week. Invite all interested prospects each week.
