Sigma Chi - Alpha Rho
Chapter Goals 2008-2009
Overview from the Consul
My overall theme for our newly initiated class is to be that of encouraging participation in making the ritual, the brotherhood, and the alumni of Sigma Chi an integral part of their college experience. As each class progresses through their years at Lehigh, more often then not certain apathy grows towards Sigma Chi. It is in my best interest this year to retard these emotions as much as possible. This will be done by making the new class more involved in important matters more then before. Over 80% of these members are currently holding house positions, with a few holding more then one. I believe that this involvement will instill the fact that their actions will have a positive effect on their house. From this they will develop a pride for the house that has not existed in the degree it should in quite some time. Sigma Chi is the strongest house at Lehigh, and it is my job to make sure everyone of our brothers knows it.
With our newly implemented Judicial System members will be held accountable for their actions. The only way that this will work is with the support of the entire chapter, therefore increasing brotherhood and our drive towards a common goal. Also new this year will be our weekly house dinners. This will further advance our chapter on coming together as one. I have proudly accepted my position and the responsibilities that come along with it and will do my best to see that these goals get achieved.
