2007-08 Chapter Strategic Plan GOAL: solidify our status as the premier Fraternity on Stanford campus.
(1) Lead a successful Province Workshop for the 9 Nor Cal chapters: Our chapter will host Province workshop this year. Plans include creating and executing the best, smoothest running, safest Province Meeting in the history of Nor Cal. We want to show off our chapter, brotherhood, house, risk management policies, and campus. Our first Province committee meeting will be the first Tuesday in November.
(2) Derby Days: First we want to bring this event back in its full glory to Stanford campus. We are finding ways to incentivize Sorority involvement and use alumni connections to increase large company donations.
(3) Creating Brotherhood Chair Events: Chris Sater will be creating two new brotherhood events for the rest of the quarter. These events will be centered on sober opportunities to promote brotherhood in the house.
(4) Party Planning and risk management: Chapter discussed how to actively enforce the party planning guide before and during parties. Our chapter stressed the importance of individual and group brother-accountability for all guests at social events. Brothers are quickly realizing the importance of a solid risk-management program.
(4) Philanthropy: Increasing sorority involvement and starting our weekly homeless feeds in Palo Alto.
(5) Communication among brothers in the chapter: Emphasis was placed on attending chapter meetings, helping to create brotherhood events, and encouraging more openness in general in order to facilitate greater communication between brothers.
(6) J-Board: Through weekly meetings the J-Board will maintain cohesion, continue earning credibility and respectwithin the chapter, encourage brothers to settle matters on their own, and take action / self policewhenever a situation calls for such.
