2007-08 Chapter Strategic Plan
After considering our chapter's past year, we have come up with a few fundamental areas that, if improved, would drastically shift our impact and status on campus. First, we decided that we need to be more proactive in our rush process. The first few short weeks leading up to rush week are vital in developing the way the new students perceive greek life in general. We plan on hosting many philanthropy events throughout those weeks in which anyone is welcome to attend. We think attracting new students through fun, University-approved, events will go a long way in developing a good reputation with the incoming freshmen.

Second, we think that democratic change from within our chapter is necessary to help our members live up to the high ideals that Sigma Chi entails. New legislature reagarding hostile actions by any member of our chapter will bring about more severe punishments including a new fine system. We also plan to add a "three ball" structure to our judicial board system, similar to that of our pledge process. We believe that these new judicial measures will be much more effective in deterring negative behavior by any member in our chapter.
